YOUNG PARENT PROGRAM

Services Provided

Home Visits include building parenting skills; learning about child development; informal counseling; and area advocacy and referrals

  • Home Health Program includes a Nurse Practitioner (UI College of Nursing Partnership) that provides home visits for well child checks, acute care visits, and prescriptions

  • Groups

    • Young Mom Support Group

      • Transportation and Childcare Provided

    • Play Group

      • Transportation provided

Eligibility

  • Young parents 24 years old and younger (Includes pregnant and parenting youth).

  • Must be pregnant or have a child between the ages of 0 – 5.

  • Family support services available to residents of Johnson County only.

  • Services are voluntary.

Referrals

  • Referrals are welcomed from a variety of sources including community agencies and directly from young parents.
