Volunteer

Volunteers at UAY help to create a positive, lasting impact on the youth that we serve. We value volunteers who bring optimism, positive energy, and share diverse perspectives. You will have the opportunity to build healthy relationships with young people who are eager for positive connections with adults. In turn, you will find that spending time with these young people, or working on projects that directly support them, will have a positive impact on you as well!

How to volunteer

How to Volunteer
  1. Fill out a volunteer application

  2. After reviewing your application, we will reach out and let you know if there is a current need that you may be a good fit for; if so, we will ask you to move on to Step 3. If there is not a current need, you are welcome to join the Do-Crew email list to stay up-to-date on volunteer opportunities as they arise. *A general background check will be conducted prior to being added to the Do-Crew list.

  3. Complete online orientation + orientation quiz (15-minutes):

  4. In-Person Interview

*All volunteers (not Do-Crew) will be required to complete full child abuse & sex offender background checks. These checks cost $20/person; if you are able to contribute funds to help cover this cost, please bring the amount you are able to contribute to your in-person interview.
