Help UAY Take Care of Young Families During the Government Shutdown

The good news is that UAY programming is not affected by the government shutdown for now. All of our ongoing programs from Runaway and Homeless Youth Programs, to art and music programs at the youth center, to the Crisis, Advocacy, and Mediation team are funded and helping young people to create, grow, and succeed. The shutdown has impacted our ability to develop new programs to meet the needs of young people, and caused disruptions to services our clients depend on.

 

Many of our clients rely on the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children to purchase formula for their babies. Some of our clients are unable to use these benefits due to shortages and uncertainty caused by the shutdown.
