Stabilization Programs
Building stability. Creating possibilities.
Every young person deserves a safe place to call home and the opportunity to build a stable, independent future.
At United Action for Youth, our stabilization programs support young people experiencing housing instability, homelessness, and other significant life challenges. Through housing assistance, individualized case management, and ongoing advocacy, we help youth access the resources, skills, and support they need to move forward.
We recognize that stability looks different for everyone. Our approach meets young people where they are, balancing compassionate support with personal responsibility, accountability, and opportunities for growth.

Maternity Group Home (MGH)
A foundation for young families to thrive.
Our Maternity Group Home program provides supportive housing and intensive case management for pregnant young people and young parents, including mothers and fathers, who are under the age of 22.
MGH is designed to help young families build stability, develop independence, and create a strong foundation for themselves and their children.

A Thoughtful, Individualized Process
Participation begins with an approximately four-to-six-week outreach and assessment period. During this time, our team works closely with prospective participants to understand their needs, establish relationships, and assess readiness for the program.
Once enrolled in housing, participants receive intensive, consistent support, including weekly case management meetings, frequent home visits, and regular check-ins.
Program participation typically lasts around one year, with an emphasis on developing the skills, resources, and confidence needed for long-term stability.
Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP)
Meeting young people where they are.
Our Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program supports young people ages 16–24 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
We recognize that every young person's circumstances are different. Some need help identifying and securing stable housing, while others benefit from ongoing guidance, resource navigation, and support maintaining their independence.
Through individualized case management and housing assistance, we work alongside young people to identify their needs, establish goals, and build pathways toward greater stability.

Housing Navigation:
Assistance identifying housing opportunities and navigating the process of securing a place to live.
Individualized Case Management:
Support tailored to each participant's circumstances, needs, and goals.
Ongoing Advocacy:
Guidance, encouragement, and problem-solving as young people navigate housing challenges.
Flexible Support:
Regular check-ins and case management that may occur monthly, weekly, or more frequently depending on individual needs.
Stability Is More Than a Place to Live
Housing is an essential foundation, but lasting stability requires more than four walls and a roof.
It means having access to resources, developing practical skills, building supportive relationships, and knowing someone is there to help navigate challenges along the way.
Through our stabilization programs, UAY works alongside young people as they take meaningful steps toward independence, security, and futures they define for themselves.
