Providing Quality and Stimulating Interactions with Children

The purpose of the Respite Childcare Program is to provide positive role-modeling in the nurturing of children and appropriate play with children.  We strive to coordinate programming on behalf of teen parents which promotes access to high school and vocational services.

  • Snack and supper offered at designated times that follow the Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
  • Transportation provided for parents who do not own or have access to a vehicle.
  • Free for children of teen parents involved in some other aspect of the Teen Parent Program.
  • Respite Care time slots are as follows:
     
    Tuesdays:
    Group Care 3:30 pm - 5 pm
    Enhanced Respite Care 4:30 pm - 7 pm
     
    Wednesdays:
    Enhanced Respite Care 2 pm - 4:30 pm
                         
    Thursdays:
    Group Care 3 pm - 4:30 pm
    Enhanced Respite Care 4 pm - 6:30 pm

    • Ratio of 2 children per 1 adult to ensure a postive learning experience.
    • Structured and developmentally appropriate activities
    • Seasonal field trips.
