The Teen Parent Program provides a comprehensive array of services to young families in Johnson
County and the surrounding areas. Services are tailored to the individual needs of program participants utilizing a
strength-based, family focused model for service delivery.
The comprehensive services available include:
Support for all participants in the Teen Parent Program from UAY
staff and fellow peers in monthly groups and workshops offered throughout the year.
Home Visits, which are the core of the United Action for Youth Teen Parent Program.
They include health and educational visits and are customized to meet the needs of the individual parents.
Respite Childcare, a program offering quality childcare once a week for young families in the teen parent
program.
Transitional Living Program provides housing for homeless young families while teaching critical independent living
and self-sufficiency skills. Housing is available in a group or scattered locations.
