Posing at the UAY mural reception: (left to right) Max Friedman, Ivy Hayward, Libby Hayward, Grace Friedman and Megan Mathews. Congratulations on all our young people who worked on the "UAY Traveling Mural". The mural, a collaborative project with UAY and Transition Service teens, began over the summer as a community service learning opportunity for kids with disabilities. The mural depicts scenes from our community (farmers market, arts festival, music, school and river) and tells a story of a girl living the stages of life. The project is supported in part by 4-H State of Promise Grant and Iowa Commission for Volunteer Service.
