Please contact Erin Shaw: The Community Youth Leadership Program is a nine-month hands-on program for high school juniors, rooted in community leadership and service. The program begins with a weekend retreat, where students find their strengths and participate in exciting team building activities at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca and the UI Challenge Course. In the fall, students take part in four one-day sessions, connecting with organizations and businesses, meeting influential community members, and doing fun activities related to the day’s theme. In the spring, students have the chance to make a positive impact in their communities through designing a service project from the ground up. The year culminates with a graduation ceremony in April, and a celebration of students’ leadership and service. We invite you to apply for this amazing opportunity, to become a part of the CYLP Class of 2012! High school sophomores should apply with UAY beginning April 1st to participate in the program their junior year. Accepted applicants will be asked for $50 ($25 each semester) to help cover food,
