This summer UAY will be offering FREE afternoon art
workshops for youth twice a week!
Kids ages 12-18 can sign up
or drop in for workshops Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3pm at
the Youth Center, 355 Iowa Ave,. Iowa City.
At each workshop students will have the
opportunity to explore new art materials, techniques, and ideas. Some of the themes are:
- Screenprinting
- Stained Glass
- Duct Tape Fashions
- Cake
Decorating
- Stuffed Animals
- NotYoMamma's Tie Dye
- Ceramics & more
After the workshop, students are invited to spend the
afternoon at Hangout, which is open until 7pm. At the end of the
summer, students may display work in a show at the UAY art
gallery, and participate in an art-hop field trip through the Iowa City
Art Galleries!

Limit of 12 students, so register ASAP!
Please call in advance if you cannot attend a workshop you are registered for, so that we may open the space for another participant.
