Counseling for Parents of Teens

UAY offers counseling and support
365 days a year,
24 hours a day,
for youth, parents, and families in crisis.

1. Call for support: call 338-7518.
2. Ask to speak to an intake worker.
3. Describe the situation.
4. They will help you connect with a counselor quickly.

Depending on the situation, UAY Counseling may be cost free. Longer term counseling and therapy may have a fee. Fees can be discussed with your individual counselor.

Counseling at United Action for Youth is confidential. You don't have to give your name.
UAY Confidentiality Policy

You and the counselor can talk over what's going on and you can get some ideas about your options.

Since 1970 UAY staff have assisted Johnson County families in resolving challenges as they arise.

UAY offers an opportunity to talk things over with a skilled counselor. We provide individual and group counseling to:

• Teens
• Parents of Teens
• Families
• Teen Parents
• Young Couples

The number of sessions are up to you. You can talk to a skilled counselor about what is right for you.

If you’d like to come in and talk with a counselor, just let us know. You can come in alone, with a friend, or someone from your family. The decision is up to you.
